Presented at CompEd 2025 (Gaborone, Botswana)

Dr Oladele O. Campbell presented two peer-reviewed papers at the ACM Global Computing Education Conference (CompEd 2025), held at the University of Botswana, Gaborone, 21–25 October 2025. The presentations addressed Impostor Phenomenon among conmputing students and Computer Science teacher preparation in Nigerian universities.

  1. The impostor phenomenon among Nigerian computing students: A study of prevalence, gender, and academic progression.
  2. Preliminary insights into computer science teacher-preparation programmes in Nigerian universities.

The impostor phenomenon paper was awarded Best Paper Runner-Up at CompEd 2025.

Ongoing Research: Professional Dispositions in Nigerian Polytechnic Computing Education

Principal Investigator: Dr Oladele O. Campbell. Project: Integrating Professional Dispositions in Nigerian Polytechnic Computing Education.

Funding has been secured, research instruments prepared, and a work-in-progress seminar paper delivered internally. Data collection has not yet begun owing to security-related closure of the institution.

Status: Preparatory phase complete; fieldwork pending.
